Treasure Hunts

A series of treasure hunts are run each year in the Ards area for the benefit of local good causes. This web site provides details of the events that have been organised and it will be kept up and as far as possible.

The 2008 events are likely to take place mainly in May and June, maybe with a few in July and August.

The general format of an evening is as follows:

  • start from a car park
  • pay entry fee (the fee varies with the event and the good cause that is running it) and collect entry forms
  • follow the clues (in cars) and solve them
  • regular participants have four extra, more difficult questions to answer which novices do not
  • meet back at a hall somewhere (destination is clearly specified on the entry form just in case you get really lost)
  • there is a suggested time to try and be back for, but the time taken is not taken into account
  • have supper
  • hear the answers and maybe get a prize
